Vampiress Kara

Kara did an impression of a Vampire this evening, but I felt I could improve on the effect with a bit of photoshop work.

It's far from perfect, only took me an hour or so, but then I'm no photoshop artist either!

This was purely for my amusement (although I'm sure she'll like it when she sees it in the morning).

Original shot here.

I'm hopeless with photoshop, My daughter would not have been impressed if i'd improved her in this manner !

Kara I hope you liked it, if not- its get your own back time !!

Oh, those bat ears are an effective addition to the overall vampire theme! :)

Helen, I used to be hopeless too, but I'm getting better.

You are pretty nifty with PS, aren't you ? Nice work !
Have you got a "before" shot as well? It would be interesting to compare.

Thanks Ed - I reckon the eyes turned out quite well too :)

    David, I sure do - grunthos.vikings.homeip.net/gallery2/v/general/Portraits/...

But I'm still no photoshop genius or anything ;)

That'll be a good one to show off at school tomorrow... do you print your own shots, David?
  • David de Groot said:
Hi Alison, actually the only prints I've had done were entries into the local town show photo comp.
We've got a b&w laser printer at home, which isn't particularly good at printing colour photos ;) But since the relo's all have internet access there's no real need to make hard copies.
Hmmm, that was a really roundabout way of say no wasn't it?

What an awesome shot. I am amazed at the ears-you did a VERY fine job. Thanks for sharing-and thanks ofr the comment-I definitely laughed out loud on that one!

Thanks Sean, it was fun, and Kara liked it. :)

I botched up one of the layers a bit, esp. on the right hand side of her head, but overall it's not bad.

I really like it. You didn't go way over the top, just tweaked it enough. I especially like what you did with the lighting, and the ears of course. Nice job. Hope she loved it. :)
