Under the Bridge

Inspired by Shaun's under-bridge panoramas, I tried one myself today under the Story Bridge at Kangaroo Point.

This is 8, 18mm shots stitched together with AutoStitch.

Oddly enough, that's exactly what Lea said when she saw it!

It didn't turn out too bad. Took ages to stitch (autostitch does a wonderful job, but render times can be fairly long once the scene starts to get complicated). Oh, I set the exposure and focus manually off the initial shot (directly above) to try to get some consistency across the whole picture. The Sun was in a bad spot though.

Wow from me too - I really like this idea (and the way it turned out)!

I'm thinking I should have lightened up the far right a little in post processing... but still, not a bad go. :)

I happen to know someone who lives under the Story Bridge. It's nice to see the world from his point of view :-)

    :-P

Really ? That'd be a bit noisy... in 1988 there were 75000 cars crossing the bridge daily, that's likely to have risen a fair bit since then.

Very cool idea and perspective. I agree with the first comment, the small version looks like a boat!

Very interesting. In fact, it's making me dizzy - I feel like I'm falling oveeeeeeeeeerrrrrrrr....... <thud>

But it is a nice canoe....(isn't it?). :-P

I can't claim responsibility for the idea, just the execution. :)

hehehe, I almost fell over taking it! ;-)
