This morning's flooding

The low bridge at Kirk Lane is well and truly under, and the green bridge is almost under. Still raining here too.

Aye indeed :) 'twas a good excuse for a sleep-in as I knew we'd not be able to get out this morning. (122mm in the rain gauge from 9am yesterday to 9am today).

LOL...i've got to get a house near a creek! And not just any that floods really well! :)
Hope you stay high and dry mate!

    It has it's advantages ;-)
We're fine, out house is a good 100m above the main creek, and out little backyard creek goes around the house area in a deep gully.

Wow we usually swim just to the right of those markers.

Looks like you might be confusing this location with the one further up the road. You pic looks like it's the bridge closest to my place (just past Massey Creek Crt) - which is also raging.

very impressive pic... why does floodwater have to be brown though, lol :P
  • David de Groot said:
Yeah, messy isn't it ? Maybe we should all do a hue change on floodwater pics to make it blue or something ;-)

Whoa, I see why you were flooded in today!

Bad - because of the flooding
Good - because of the photo. I love the movement you captured in the water.

Wow. Thats a lot of water.
Seen in my contacts' photos. (?)
  • David de Groot said:
Yeah, about to go check if I'm flooded in again today (should be passable according to BoM).
We don't mind the flooding really. We're well out of harms way, and have a large pantry. :)

was out back of Caboolture on sunday looking at the creeks there... one was just over the road, and in about 10 mins had risen another 5 feet up the path towards where i was standing.
    it was quite impressive
    loved it though
makes for fun photography, as you so beautifully display for us all!
    well done
