One of two Grey Squirrels we encountered today near Tamworth Castle.

The Castle was closed (opens on weekends only in the winter), but that gave us more time to take in the old Bailey where we were greated by two faily playful squirrels.

Love it mate! Great detail and timing on the shot. The even background works beautifully making the squirrel stand out!

[http://www.flickr.com/photos/42495072@N00] There's a BBC wildlife competition ? Surely though a squirrel stands very little chance of winning that.

There is - it's an annual competition. There's a magazine called BBC wildlife, I'm sure they advertise it.
