Sigma 10--20mm f/4-5.6 EX DC HSM

This lens is for sale. Contact me if you're interested.

It's produced some excellent images but I've moved to Full Frame and thus am selling this APS-C lens.

Samples of the output from this lens are here, and more photos of the lens are here.

Nah, simplest setup ever, lens on white paper over a chair against a white wall, sb-26 to camera left (1/8th), SB-600 with dome diffuser on camera at 1/8th.

Hey 5DII... I'm jealous... a little bit. Hope you enjoy it.
Seen on my Flickr home page. (?)
  • David de Groot said:
Absolutely Mike :) The high-iso performance is fantastic, and all my lens focal lengths are just like the old film days. 70mm is so much more useful.

hmmm... so tempting david... i have auctioned my sigma 70-200mm f2.8 to fund a wide angle lens... have not decided between sigma or canon 10-20mm...

Heyyy David...congrats. I suppose you wanted to take advantage before the price hike

This is a nice sharp copy, good colour, solid build. I can't complain about it at all really (except it doesn't work on the 5DII) ;-)
    Absolutely !

Such a great lens this one - mine gets plenty of use.

The 10-20mm and the EF-s 60mm are my two favourite lenses... I'm not sure I'm going to be able to make the jump to full frame if I have to sacrifice those! Have you got a new wide-angle?
  • HPVD Photos said:
Like the shot David, but just bought the Canon 10-22mm a few months ago.
  • Peter Hegarty said:
You're gonna need the 12-24 now Dave :)
  • The Sage of Shadowdale said:
    Nah, 16-35/2.8.
  • David de Groot said:
    Indeed it is Matt :)
    Sure have (well it's on it's way) - 17-40L.
hehehe although that is rather wide, I've opted for the 17-40L instead.
I wish, too darned expensive at the moment.

    Thanks Andrew :)
Bugger indeed - could have had one on the cheap :P

Ahh bennie tempted me with his...though, can't justify it at the moment, and I think I'll be sticking to EF lens' from now on :-P (Positively drooling for a FF body)
  • David de Groot said:
Well as long as you don't drool on mine :P

my potential buyer has decided against it now :-(
however i've got another guy at work at the moment, but he's the same as tim... wants to go full-frame so is now reluctant to get it...
If you know any buyers guys let me know! :-)

Why would you sell such an amazing landscape lens? Maybe you stepped up to a full frame camera? One more thing how did you fire 2 strobes on camera? Did you mean off camera?
  • David de Groot said:
Yes, I went full frame and thus replaced this with a 17-40L. One strobe was on camera, the other off camera.
