    Cool idea.

Would have been even better if the little bugger would do as he's told... bah! ;-)

That's the problem with working with models, especially if they're your childen! :-)

nice one dave. it find it really difficult for my oldest daughter to 'smile' properly. i don't even bother asking her these days. I just try and capture a moment instead.

Sometimes (actually a lot of the time) the candid shots look heaps better!

My daughter has the same problem. She has a great smile, if she's not trying, but of late, even candids are getting difficult as she's become very self conscious and camera shy. (darn teenagers!)

I think we all go through this problem!
    Nice picture though!

Take no prisoners! After all, you feed 'em.
As for the photo, I like it. Regardless of the real circumstances, to me it suggests self-reflection / quiet introspection.

he is photo'd out poor little chap.....I remember my Dad used to be a pain in the butt too, always taking photos. Try still life- or food, that cant run off !!! Then there's dogs, old ladies in wheelchairs, birds, oh the list is endless, after that you can go back to your lego people and little ducky......; P
  • David de Groot said:
Thanks - yes, they're all unco-operative little buggers at some stage.

Too right Id :-) I actually wanted to get him in a moment of reflection (to overuse the pun), but he wasn't playing ball, so you've managed to see the intention even if I don't think I managed to capture it.

Hmmm, well I've photographed dogs, an old lady in a wheelchair and a bird all in the last week, oh and still life food tonight too. :-P~~

That kind of leaves you with lego- but I know you have been at that again recently, little ducky perhaps..... brightens up with idea..... Lea !!!! She will kill me for this !!! Ha ha, you have to fly to the UK so I am safe !!

    cool one! :)
  • David de Groot said:
Ah, well I've shot Lea recently too (today even), but I'm not allowed to post any of them. I guess that only leaves Duckie, but since I'm off to a flickr meet this weekend, that mightn't be too hard.

    Thanks :)
  • looby88 said:
LOL !!! its not stopped you from posting them before !!!! Poor Lea, I dont blame her either, my hubby knows its not worth the pain he would experience if he puts up any of moi !! In case I dont chat to you again before the w/e, I hope you have a great meetup, and take lots of great piccies and find lots of victims- I mean subjects !!

Oh, he's welcome to post photos of me, if he can get one worth posting. I'm not terribly photogenic - don't know where Kara gets it from - took me ages to even get an avatar, because he couldn't take a decent shot of me.
(Once he consistently gets good photos of me, I reckon he will be ready to do professional portrait photography. Heeheehee.)

(Oh, the things I can get away with saying when he is out at a flickr meet! :))

LOL !!! what are you like woman !!
I like your style though !! They say the camera doesnt tell lies - but I know different, really I am absolutely stunning, I expect you are just the same !!!
