Nice shot. Your wish list is growing? : )

Nah, I have no need for a seagull, the camera mount is all wrong and their little tiny eyes don't let in anywhere near enough light ;-)

But seriously, the 75-300 is not a great lens, this was one of the few shots from it that I was pretty happy with, and didn't need to do anything to. As Sam said, it's an ok lens in bright light, and I think that's a fairly reasonable summary of it.

I don't know why one would want to Helen. ;-) Although these ones were all fairly daring, swooping straight in at people and then veering off at the last second to land.

    Nice shot, David!

I feel the same way with my Sigma telephoto zoom (50-500mm) good for moon shot and bright light. :o(

Didn't turn out bad at all eh? Telephoto lenses are tricky in anything but bright light Margot (unless you spend really big on something with an aperture of f/2.8 or larger).
