Red Wattlebird

Anthochaera carunculata.

These guys were regular visitors to the camp site. Quite noisy, but not too keen on having their photos taken.

    I used flash for fill as the sky was quite bright. Could have done with a Better Beamer flash attachment to push the light further, but I don't have one. As such, this is straight from the camera (well after raw conversion).

    Thanks Debbie, these guys sure knew when a camera was pointed at them - I was lucky to get this shot as for the most part they flew away as soon as the lens came up.
