Puppy at the supermarket

Yes I know, it's a puppy photo. However, this one has a bit of a story, albeit a shot one.

We dropped into the IGA supermarket for some pre-road trip snack shopping and when we were going through the checkout I noticed this little puppy tied up just inside the door. He obviously didn't like the idea of being tied up though because he was squirming his way out of his collar, successfully mind you!

I gave him a bit of a pat, took this less than ideal photo and then slipped the collar back on him before heading out to the car with the shopping.

Nah we have two dogs already Louise and likely to have another litter of puppies in the new year. Besides, this adorable little bundle of fur will end up quite a large dog.

    Sure is Jill :)

    Thanks Melissa :)

Not only my soft spot by the looks of it Kev ;-)

There's probably plenty to photograph around home, but since I see it everyday I don't think of it Cecily.

Despite the cuteness, I don't like pet shops, or the idea of pets tethered at shops. How can you buy a little life like that?! What do they do when the owners go home at night and they're left in their little glass boxes?
A pet is not just for Christmas, it's for life :) ok, off soapbox now!

Slight misunderstanding Rachel, the puppy was someone's pet that they couldn't take into the supermarket to grab a few things. Not a puppy waiting to be sold. :)

This is a country supermarket, dogs waiting outside is a fairly common occurrence :)
