Pirate Potato Heads

Aleks got a large Mr Potato Head in a Pirate theme for Christmas and since Mike had posted Potato Head piccies, I figured I might as well too... who knows, maybe there's a potato head flickr group. ;-)

Didn't know there were so many sorts. We only have the standard Mr Potato Head that starred in Toy Story!!!

Seen on your photo stream. (?)

My wife is sitting back laughing her head off. She thinks we're all nuts posting photos of Mr Potato Head toys (just like I predicted).

Her "official" comment on your photo, David, is:The one in the pirate hat looks like he just came from The Blue Oyster. She also said (off the record) that the one with the pink hair looks a bit camp too.

A group just for Mr Potato Head is probably a little too restrictive. But one for any Toy Story toy would probably be OK. (My boys have heaps of Buzz Lightyear type toys.) ;-)

hehehe the ear was taken by Bruce the Shark ;-)

Nelly, yes I was surprised too.

Oh thanks Mike & Mrs, I now have that piece of music going through my head!

Hmmm, looks like someone has already created a Toy Story type group - www.flickr.com/groups/toystoryfans/

Police Academy I is a classic! The other dozen or so sequels got gradually worse and worse.

    David, we're just misunderstood methinks.
  • David de Groot said:

I'm not sure "classic" is a term I'd associate with Police Academy, but the original was definitely better than the sequels.

    Could be Mike, could be...

    There's a group for misunderstood genius-es like yourselves!!! ;)
  • David de Groot said:
hehehe Well this shot doesn't qualify for that group.... yet.

very peculiar, the one with no ear has a strange growth on his head. Mr pirate has such googly eyes i really think he must have a thyroid problem. happily children realise these are just pretend... dont they....
great fun, especially for the parents methinks !!
  • David de Groot said:
Ah well the missing ear has been found, and the two missing arms too. :)
That's not a growth, that's the arm of the big potato.
As for being pretend and what children think... who knows???

  • looby88 said:
Had to have another look in the large size...... arm you say, looks like a rude salute, as the English bowmen used to do at the French....
I like this in a strange kind of way !!
  • David de Groot said:
Does look a bit that way, I should have noticed when I took the shot, mind you that one is meant to have a hat like the big one (haven't found that bit yet though).

Nyahahaha...we love Mr. Potato Head! We have the Star Wars theme. Oh, don't ask why! I'll upload it next time. Hihihi! (o^^o)

I got the "Lego Star Wars II: The original trilogy" PC game for Christmas. It's surprisingly good and a big hit with my youngest.

    I'm sure it was. (o^.^o)

Of course two seconds after this shot, they were back to fighting as pirates do only too well! ;-)
