oh man this is cruel and inhuman. i love korean food but these last two weeks i am eating it three times a day. it's just too much. then i log on to flickr before breakfast and see this!

the smell of fish frying in the kitchen doe not tempt me at all.,,,

i think i'll make some toast... oh wait... no bread :(
  • David de Groot said:
I have recipes for bread too you know ;-)

Variety is what it's all about around here.

    David, don't torture him!

btw, now I want pancakes for my dinner. That looks scrumptious. But we're in the midst of a 28 hour long blizzard here...groceries will have to wait!

Hey Greg! Do you need a care package of flour so you can make some bread? :)

The pancakes look delicious ... but so does the lens that shot this great photograph!

Surely you have enough stuff at home to whip up some pancakes though Mel!

Chocolate sauce would have been good too - hmmm, maybe with fresh blueberries sprinkled on top.

    It's a sweet lens, that's for sure :)

But no berries or maple syrup on hand.

Naked pancakes just aren't the same : (
  • David de Groot said:
Well no, but they are tasty fresh from the pan smeared with butter too.
Or there's the old fall-back of lemon and sugar or jam and cream.

i don;t know mel... eating pancakes naked can be rather fun.

oh - and i forgot to mention. korean kitchen don;t have ovens :(

i just had breakfast of kimchi soup and rice.... again....
  • David de Groot said:
    No ovens ???

Hmmm, so it'd be steamed buns for you then - could be interesting making toast out of them though.

we have a griller here. it had never been used until i arrived here. korean bread tastes like cake. there is sugar in everything here. but i've been making toast from it and helen's little nieces love it.
