hahahahaha. I was driving back from the border (NSW) today and was like ooooo cows and remember of how you were saying how cows (or was it horses) run when you approach with the camera :-P
  • David de Groot said:
Almost - they invariably come closer to me, which in turn scares off the cattle egrets I was trying to shoot (not in this shot though, stopped specifically for the cows).

Nice one... Looks just like a Pink Floyd album cover.
    (Atom Heart Mother I think)

simiiar to Atom heart mother, wrong colour cow !
the inside of the cover in LP days was lovely ! Showing my age now !!
  • David de Groot said:
Oddly enough, I was indeed mooing at them to make them look at me ;-)
Oh yeah, wasn't it bright pink or something ?
Old vinyl albums were great for cover art :)

Apparently someone already beat me to the Atom Heart Mother comparison. Not so much a different colour as a negative image: black where this one is white, white where this one is black. For reference..
I will repeat my comment about the sharpness of the image. Camera envy time! ;) Or should it be lens envy?
  • David de Groot said:
Thanks for the reference image - I can see the resemblance now. :)
As for envy - both. The 5DII really brings out the best in the 70-200L.

We'd love to have this picture into the group:
~Please add this photo to the pool and become definitively a Ooh! La La picture~

I appreciate the gesture, but I don't do groups with forced comments/invites and esp. groups that use graphical logos.
