Doing a "James Dean". I think it turned out pretty well given it was a lighting test shot ;-)

This one's great! Don't like the canon strap though but for a test shot... gee whizz :)

Yeah I could have cloned out the strap, but it wasn't going to be published, however, I think it's worthy of shoving up here ;-)

Nice light David, it works well. The strap doesn't bother me, in fact i would include a little more so it was obvious what it was. It gives a context to who this person is.

Single shoot-through brolly camera left, bare flash camera right pointed at the tin ceiling for a little fill. You might be right about the strap, although it'd work fine without it too.

Great pic & I too like the canon strap, because that really is how most of us know this young man
  • David de Groot said:
Thanks Kat :) Yes that's true, it's rare to see him sans-camera most of the time ;-)

Kane looks so, so similar to someone I know. Lighting and color here are great

Thanks - Kane's a regular at the Brisbane meetups, so if you trundle along to one, you'll most likely get to see him in person ;-)
