Jade was the second model we shot yesterday at the Brisbane Strobist Meet.

Luckily for all concerned, we'd kinda got into the flow by then.

Jade was most accommodating regards to lying on the ground for us, as we wanted to make use of the lovely golden sunlight as a rim/hairlight.

Strobist info: Canon 430EX on 1/4th power, shoot through umbrella, 45 degrees camera left as main light. Vivitar 285HV on 1/16th power, 45 degrees camera right with a 1/8th CTO gel for soft fill. Both synced with eBay poverty wizards. Sun setting 180 degrees behind model, giving nice hair lighting. (info borrowed from James)

    Deja vu...

Nice choice for the close framing, but I guess that's your 100mm prime for you. I had a fun time cloning the mat she was lying on.

Seen on my Flickr home page. (?)

Indeed. Alas, most of my fence shots were ruined by flare from somewhere - I don't think it was the second flash, rather one of the signs up the road reflecting in the sunlight.

Or it might be my flash :)
