As dawn broke, the wreck of the Gayundah was bathed in a wonderful warm light. It's flooded bowels protuding from the stilled bay in memory of what it once was.

Flooded is now available for sale as a framed, mounted or laminated print at RedBubble.

    hmmm.. flooded bowels... nasty business.

beautiful image though - the photography that is. love that mollusc-pink glow gradating into the gorgeous inky darkness

Looks even better in Lightroom - flickr still does slightly odd things to photos on occasion. It's not a colour profile thing, as I'm running Safari and export in sRGB anyway.

Loads of atmosphere and the colour gradient is wonderful. I think the exposure is bang on too.

Seen in my contacts' photos. (?)

Wasn't sure I got this quite right at the time, but quite happy with it now I've seen it on the computer. :)

    really beautiful shot, David.
The light is gorgeous and the subject interesting.
You really are turning into an early bird ;-p

    Thanks David :)
Yeah, but you'll note I'm not up that early shooting everyday! (alas, while on this contract, I'm up early enough to see the sunrise every weekday though)

    Nice shot. :)

Thanks :) Wasn't sure I was getting anything decent at the time, the cloudless sky (except on the horizon) wasn't doing much for me - sunrise wise. But upon review, I got a few that I'm happy with.

Beautiful series David. Love the swirls of the water in this long exposure.

I love long exposure water, even if in this case it wasn't moving much to start with.
