Female Red-backed Fairy-wren

Malurus melanocephalus.

I spent some time on the side of Hills Rd, in the car birding on Thursday. The car makes a reasonable "hide" and with patience the small birds soon come out.

Initially I thought this was a female Superb Fairy-wren given the only males I saw were of that variety, but it lacks the tell tale red eye patch, so I'm going with female Red-backed Fairy-wren for now.

Thanks Rob. I like to include a little cloud where possible, it's a bit more interesting than plain blue.
