Nice shot, excellent perspective. Love the contrasting water & the reflection on the rocks. Excellent image.

    Thanks Matt :)
    Not bad eh ?
Yep, if it's worth going b&w, it's worth going contrasty ;-)
    Yeah it'd work as that.
    Thanks Adam :)

Love the shine on the rocks, still think i prefer the colour one. This is still a stunning image in b/w.

right up my alley - very nice

Way cool - you might get something even fancier by tone mapping it (funnily enough I got an email today from the ABC program 360 that wants to use one of my tone-mapped b&w images...)
  • David de Groot said:
Thanks Matt, yeah the colour is nice, but classic b&w has it's place too.
    Thanks Ross :)
Hadn't thought of that - I tend to avoid HDR/Tonemapping most of the time as things tend to look somewhat surreal (and not in a good way).

HDR ruins waterfalls for me anyway with the amount of noise you get... but tone mapping gives it a bit of a high key feel... works sometimes :)

Black and White turned out especially well here. Once again David great shot

Black and White works well here - had it suggested to me a few times for waterfall images Ive done, this makes me wonder if they were right.. nice shades and textures highliighted here. Buderim again ?

HDR software generally makes a bit of an hash of most shots really.
    Thanks Mitch :)
Yep, Buderim again. Definitely worth trying B&W every now and then.
