Drama over Noosa Heads

When we first arrived at Tea Tree Bay, the clouds overhead were suitably dramatic. I found this little cove amongst the rocks and felt it just the spot for a bit of long exposure action.

Indeed a lovely spot. Lots of action in this image, seems kind of threatening. Top shot.

They're quite handy, although a Singh Ray Vari-ND might be good too.
Yeah, I liked the threatening look of the sky. It cleared up a lot not long after this.
Thanks Michelle :) Next visit there I'll time better with the tides. When it was closer to sunset, the tide was in, covering all the rocks.
I did tweak the sky a little, not a huge amount though.
Thanks, it is indeed a nice place.
    Thanks Michael :)
    Zombies ?

Yep, I try to keep the shots very close to how they came from the camera. Very little processing involved.

Thanks Rob, you're probably right there, the original size (not on flickr) is pretty impressive. :)
Thanks Alexandra - it's a lovely part of Qld, not too far from Brissie.

Beautiful David - looks very natural & inviting despite the heavy clouds.

I like this one even more. Really nice motion in the foreground water.
  • David de Groot said:
It was so inviting, the children all ot in the water a lttle further around to the left (there's a stretch of sandy beach there). :)
Thanks Nic, had to wait for just the right wave to come in.

Nice work David I was using an ND 8 but didn't get the effect I wanted like yours
  • David de Groot said:
Yeah, it was quite bright out there, even when the sun was hidden behind a cloud.

Beautiful transitions through the image, and pleasing colors. The subtle diagonal across the frame works very well to lead the eye outward

Thanks Jim, a quick look at your stream shows me you know what you're talking about. :)
