Buckethead Girl

Kara with a bucket on her head.

Christmas 2007.

I've been sitting on this image for a year now, but since it's close to Christmas again, I figured it was time to post it ;-)

It got the seal of approval earlier, so I figured it was safe to post ;-)

This is one of those shots that you can filed away to be pulled out years latter lol
    Well done :)
  • David de Groot said:
    Precisely - it'll be prime 18th birthday material ;-)

How much lighting would you have used for this just a bounce ? Nicely done defiantly a keeper

This was not long after getting my silver brolly, so it's probably a Vivitar 285HV shot into a silver brolly camera right, and not really close enough. Worked ok though ;-)

    The colour suits her hair.
Only one problem: The container was empty when it was "fitted".

and she manages to keep a straight face? is this some sort of regular occurance at your house? the bucket wearing....not the straight faces...
  • David de Groot said:
    'tis good eh ?
    Danke :)
Hmmm, no bucket wearing is fairly rare, actually, so is the straight face...

Kara's gonna love you for this, dad...

She set it as her MSN picture thingy and declared that it was a "cool photo" so, I think I'm all good :)

ah yes I know that kind of shot... it's when all the pressies are open and the kids are getting tired, and resort to the bucket on the head type trick to get attention. The straight face is due to tiredness... am I on the right track? I remember doing similar things when I was a teenager. :) ...unfortunately the photographic evidence would be difficult to locate, after all these years! ;)
  • David de Groot said:
It was probably that indeed (too long ago now to remember exactly, but it sounds plausible). :)

Check out the use by date. You could eat that ice cream this Christmas.
Lovely shot with great lighting and expression.
Has Kara ever watched any videos of the70/80's group Devo? ;-)
  • David de Groot said:
I did notice the expiry date, better marry her off before then eh ? (hmmm, darn, too young).
I don't think she's familiar with Devo, but surely it should have been a flower pot rather than an ice-cream container ;-)
