Blue Hour Clouds over Brisbane

No real blue hour tonight, just overcast conditions. A bit of a tweak of the WB though and it's all sweet.

Nice one David - you didn't waste anytime !!! :-)
Not sure what the weather is likeover your way but it is bucketing down here, might be a few wet butts out there tonight.
It was really nice to meet you tonight.

Love our City :P, That's the same place you where for the River Fire or new Years pic you had with the F1-11 I think.
Wide shots look super nice on that 5D2 luck you

Thanks Kat :) Yeah didn't do much to this. Hmmm, looks darker on flickr.. interesting. It was fine at home, but now it's raining again.
Good to finally meet in person too :)
Yeah, same spot, although shot above the fence rather than on the other side of it as I didn't bother to take a ladder. ;-)

Where did you park ? any good free spots around there

Nice shot Dave. Just got home and wondered who had got one up so fast! I find flickr darkens a lot of pics, I occassionally have to retweak and reload one if it looks really flat.
Seen on my Flickr home page. (?)

Plenty of street parking there usually. :)
Thanks Debbie - how was dinner ?
I think I've narrowed it down (the darkness that is) to Firefox's colour management being a bit brain-dead. Looks fine in other browsers.

nice one Dave. i was out there the other day, too bad i couldn't join. the fence was too high for me though.
  • David de Groot said:
Thanks Rodel, it's a good spot, although I've covered it enough now. I'd not attempt the fence without a stepladder, too easy to slip and do oneself a nasty injury.

Hahah no mucking around Dave, nice work.

Wee bit of a crop & straighten and then export. Simple as ;-)

Very classic Dave, looks great on 5D! all this is missing is an F1,11.

Love it Dave. You pulled some nice colour out of that sky. Looks great.
    Great seeing you again too!

Great Shot, wanted to be at this meet (woulda been my first) but had to work. Working on saturdays sucks, and missing out on this made it even worse!
    Great shot though, love it.

Gorgeous, as usual, David! I love the rainbow of colour from that one building (not sure which one it is; my knowledge of the city is lousy) reflected on the water.
  • David de Groot said:
Thanks Nickie (but please don't put graphic invites here).
It's a good spot eh Jon ? I think one of the buildings providing the colour is the CUA building.

Very lovely Dave...enjoying the new camera? :-)
  • David de Groot said:
Sure am, so much more freedom when it comes to ISO settings, and of course the focal length on the lens is what you get, always a good thing imho.
