Hahaha...yuck...this is pretty scary. I've watched too many zombie movies (even the B movies) to know never take a chance with zombies. (>.<)

hehehe It did occur to me on the day Margot, that I have no idea what you're meant to use against a zombie. You know, silver bullets for werewolves, garlic/cross/holy water/stake through the heart for Vampires, but zombies? not a clue?

Well Sydney does the Mardi Gras thing, so maybe the zombies aren't into that scene ;-)

Tsk, tsk, tsk...everybody knows that you're supposed to blow their brains out, David. :o)

Ah yes I vaguely remember seeing something about that in a movie once...

Hmm...makes me wonder how long ago was that.

    Ummm, 1998 I think.

    BTW, check Steve's shot out:

    Much more menacing!

you're meant to chop their heads off, i thought.

you know, i sort of wich i'd been there, but i'm sort of glad i wasn't, because i'm almost sure i might have been a tad freaked out, even though i know they're only dressing up. lol!!

i'm glad i didn't go to it & bring smiley with me. i'm not sure what he would have made of them.

were there any (non-zombie) kids around? did they get scared?

Seen on your photo stream. (?)

Well Albert's two little ones were there, and didn't seem disturbed or put out. The only incident was when Jasmine tripped over and hurt herself, but like all children she recovered quickly.

Yeah, I didn't take Aleks for the same reason. He was unimpressed enough with the St Patrick's Day parade that I knew he wouldn't enjoy zombies attacking him!

But for defence - a review of the classical literature reveals several methods of defence:
Running away is well thought of, and forms most unarmed people's principal means of defence.
A sharp sword or scythe can work well, if aimed at the ankles (zombies on stumps crawl acceptably slowly)
If you find yourself attackedb zombies in an era with more modern weapons, then a couple of shotgun blasts through the central nervous system is well thought of.
