David de Groot said: protection ? I'm sure that's a pop-culture reference, but alas, I don't get it. (probably from not watching TV).

I actually thought this a real old photo David. Well done.
Obviously following Cappa's advice LOL.
David de Groot said: hehe Turned out quite well eh?
I would have followed Cappa's advice even moreso, but security wouldn't let us.

Sorry David. I was just thinking if ze Germans were invading Australia then best to use some "natural defences"... ok, useless against tanks though.
I like the old-style processing you've achieved with this. Perhaps you should have made your logo B&W also and put it over the grass? It looks like ze Germans are trying to capture it. ;-)

Fake! No self-respecting army would bother to invade Brisbane. ;-)
David de Groot said: Ah... ok - to be fair, it was before breakfast when I replied, so I wasn't entirely awake then.
As for the logo, yeah I could have done that - didn't think of it.
David de Groot said: Ah but they weren't invading Brisbane, they were attacking the Russians! ;-)

thats awesome

The Sage of Shadowdale said: they were attacking the Russians who had invaded Brisbane? It doesn't make sense on 2 levels now: 1) why would the Russians invade Brisbane? and 2) why would Fritz try to take Brisbane from the Russians?
Great shot though & awesome processing. Makes you wonder why those guys are trying to take cover in open ground though when there's a tank nearby, small walls nearby and also long grass nearby. No wonder so many soldiers died in WWII.
David de Groot said: hehehe Well you know, Brisbane is a happening place ;-)
