it does. now what do yu mean by 100% crop?

Good Morning to you too Greg :)
My understanding is that a 100% crop is when you view the image at 100% (i.e. pixel depth) and then crop the view at that resolution. So if you looks at the "Original" size, that's actual pixels. Zooming in further would be jaggy. Of course I might have my terminology completely wrong, or I might just be bad at explaining things ;-)

Well, whatever 100% crop means, I think this is a wonderful picture. Excellent composition and clarity.

I'm really liking this 50mm f/1.8 lens.

the 50mm are really fun to use! i'd love a f/1.2, but luckily for my wallet Nikon don't make one :-)
love the colours on this!

I've seen the price on a Canon f/1.2 and I don't think I need one ;-)
Mind you, there's a f/1.0 floating about (now discontinued - but still available second hand).
Eventually I might get the 1.4, but for now I need a medium long telephoto (I'm thinking 70-200) and a macro (maybe the ef-s60 or the ef-100). I've found the 50 to be fine as a walk around lens for most things, and when I really need a wider view and can't back up further, the kit lens goes to 18mm, even if it's nowhere near as sharp as the 50.
But it's probably a fully manual lens and won't work well on your d50.

I like this one David. The texture in the shadows and the bright subject gives it something else.
I hate yellow...my poor S2 goes crazy and has huge CA smears with shots of yellow in good light :-(

Thanks Alex :)
I don't think I ever noticed the CA on yellow with the S2 (I'll have to go check now), but I definitely got it on backlit subjects like tree branches against the sky.

Albert, apparently Nikon did make an f/1.2 50mm lens - www.flickr.com/photos/jam_session/278970659/
