Whirlpool

This photo was somewhat precariously taken.

I had the tripod head mounted on the bottom of the centre column and the camea attached upside down to it, dangling over the flowing water below.

It wasn't until later that I noticed the whirlpool in the pond, only visible on a long exposure.

And better still, less than a km from home :)

Of course I got eaten by mozzies while taking it though.

    Danke :)

Nice! The whirlpool really tops it off :)

Quite so, it'd be far less interesting otherwise.

Indeed :) A nice surprise when I got around to downloading the photos from the camera.

But only in the warmer parts of the day, around dusk (when I took this) the mozzies are ferocious!

I'm so glad that you /or your camera didnt fall in, cos you would have been pigsick !!
  • David de Groot said:
Quite! Mind you if the camera had fallen it would likely have been 'cause I had fallen too.

Interesting optical effect at the bottom left - looks like it's falling away.
