What lurks within...

(uploaded for the Out! monthly contest)

Cedar Creek is flowing, albeit not as much as we'd like, after recent rains.

Many mosquito bites were the result of this shoot.

In my opinion the mosquitos were worth it. Amazing shot David. The shadows and the dark green tones are brilliant.

My legs are still itchy! Damn mozzies.

The main problem was that in a couple of places I had the tripod in a fairly precarious position and needed to hold the camera strap (just in case), which meant I had one hand busy holding the strap and the other holding me up so as to not fall in the creek. In the meantime I was a feast for the local mozzie population.
Some of the later exposures were 30secs long and you'd be surprised how many mozzies can attack you in that amount of time.

lair of the bynyip... perhaps they should put up warning signs. Bunyips in the next 10 km.

I think there might have been Brian. I passed two poles on the way down which obviously used to hold a sign....mysteriously gone though...

    Danke :)

I'd say they were Helen, darn mozzies!

I quite like this shot, David. The darkness gives it a creepy sort of effect.

Excellent, that's the effect I was after :)
