We have liftoff...

I got a bit too close to this kookaburra for his liking and he flew off. Luckily, I managed to snap off a couple of frames as he did so.

It's not as sharp as I'd like, but given he was moving, I was moving and I didn't have time to refocus, it's not bad.

Interestingly you can see how his foot extends above his wing on takeoff.
