Waterfall in the Gardens

We stumbled upon this waterfall in the botanic gardens today. I didn't even know it existed.

See how many lizards you can spot.

Thanks - I was quite surprised to find this in the gardens which are essentially right in the city.

Well I spotted 2 (but I would not have seen them if you hadn't asked).
Pretty waterfall - funnily enough I just saw it on Kara's photostream! :-)

Thanks David, Tim, Horst and Lara :)

Too many lizards ??? How can that be ? To get to this spot, I passed at least three more lizards, one a little baby water dragon. Unfortunately they don't let you get too close to them.

But yes, I only see two in this shot too. There may be more, but I've not found them.

Maybe they don't let you get too close, but they seem to be magnetically attracted to me.

They always give me the evil eye and make my lunchtime visits stressful...

I don't mind them, as long as they stay away from me!! Haa haa {:->

And you too Kev :) I was really surprised to find this in the gardens and quite happy with how it came out - this is straight from the camera, no adjustments, cropping, straightening or anything (just a resize for upload).

Glad you like it Mark! Have you moved yet ?

Seen on explore (Last 7 days interesting)
  • David de Groot said:
Thanks Nathan! You'd never guess the entire thing is man made and fed by a pump eh? But it does fit into the gardens beautifully and the local wildlife seem to make full use of the creek and the ponds it feeds.

Nice shot David. Very often you can see water dragons on the edge of the fall. Hot days for sure!

Thanks Jeff, I was just surprised to come across the falls at all. It really wasn't something I expected to find in town.
