Great shot David. Mt Cootha lookout would have to be the best place around the Centenary Suburbs to photograph Brisbane and the city from. It's about 5 minutes down the road from me so I'm in the central for everything. Anyways onto the photo;
The sky is absolutely awesome. The color is rich blue closer to you and as it goes towards the city it dulls down to a calmer blue. Clouds go well with it as well. Sharp and clear
David de Groot said: On word - Polariser :) Thanks Margot :) Yeah I dragged myself out of the house, despite feeling crook, as the clouds looked promising - 'twas worth the trip. It's not a bad spot, although a little done to death. I'd really prefer something slightly closer to the city and lower, or much higher, but without getting in an helicopter, that's not going to happen ;-)

Great shot, will definately have to invest in a polariser after seeing that. Have you ever tried Mt Gravatt Lookout? Its a big lower and with a zoom lens you get a great shot of the city from there.
David de Groot said: Can't say I've been to Mt Gravatt lookout... 'tis way down on the wrong side of town to me, but might be worth a trip. (Mt Coot-tha is about an hours drive from home as it is).

How good do the clouds look! Great shot.
David de Groot said: Thanks :) Won't be getting another like it for a week with the weather like it is at the moment. They were pretty decent that day, that's for sure. Patience padawan... :P
David de Groot said: Thanks :) They weren't exactly what I was expected (from the weather forecast), but did nicely all the same.

Mt Gravatt is also a long way from the city, similar to Mt Coot-tha.
David de Groot said: Thanks Rodney - good to know.
