Unplugged

Upon leaving the mangroves on the way back to work, I spotted this TV sitting there unplugged and unloved.

That's such a cool find! I like the angle + bw treatment you used too.

So the big question is...did you sneak it home?

You have been deceived Dave, was there a trolley loitering close by,? There have been a growing number of reports from interstate (the colder places) of rebellion being fermented amongst the growing number of wayward and homeless tube TVs
This group are being agitated by the well known dissident factor amongst the turned out , red handled shopping trolleys, ( and rumor has it that the blue milk crate section are joining them)
The lack of dwellings for the retired tube TVs, is a sociological problem caused by the heavy immigration of the foreign flat screen specie .
This species is being given considerable financial subsidies, by sections of our own society, who seem to admire them so much that they will simply sit for hours gazing on them.
Your capture here is evidence of it's spread into our, up to now, sun loving state of Queensland.
I fear that the very fabric of our peace loving State is going to be torn asunder as we encounter the influx of these flat TVs from the lower socioeconomic regions of the world were they breed cheaply .and without control.
    (P.N I gotta get a life)

Thanks Melissa - I actually shot this one in b&w (well b&w mode on the camera)

hehehe Nah, it stayed there Mark. I'm not sure lugging a disfunctional tv home on the train would have been a good idea.

    hahahaha good one Kev!
