Tribute

♫♪♬ This is not the best sunset in the world, this is only a tribute. ♬♩♫

Earlier this evening the sunset was absolutely amazing, but I was stuck on a train. It still made for some awe inspiring viewing out the windows though.

The sunset was pretty special. Too bad there were so many trees in the way. I would have been able to see it so well from infront of my old house, only moved on the weekend :(

I saw it too, exceptional sunset and I didn't have either camera on me.

I've found the absolute best spot to see sunsets from - the Bowen Hills railyards (well actually from the trainline - since I'm invariably in the train at the time of day of late). By extension, across the road on the hill behind the railyards would do it. The sunsets are always pretty spectacular from there.

I did Chris, but was stuck in a train. This poor tribute was taken when I got to my truck in the Ferny Grove train station carpark. I used my mini tripod (which will just hold the dSLR and 50mm lens), perched on the roof of the truck.

If only I had my camera with me to work today ...

We have spectacular view (from the rooftop at IMB, UQ) of the sunset behind Mount Coot-tha, and todays sunset was awesome!

It was sooo much better earlier, the whole sky was bright orange, then later a deep red, and finally this washing pinky colour before going purple and then fading out.

    Yay! Someone spotted it :)

Yeah, who couldn't like Jack Black ? The easter egg on the LotR DVD is also quite amusing :)
