from 15-20m up a tree.

The neighbours had a couple of trees removed yesterday so I spent a little time on our veranda popping off shots of the guy in the tree.

Nice enough chaps though - had a bit of chat with him (me yelling from the veranda, him yelling from the tree).

Nice climbing saw... my bro-in-law has a nice one too, and it feels more powerful than my mid-sized Stihl saw. That's some sort of stringybark isn't it? :D Looks the same colour. Ahhhh got me thinkin wood now

I'm not really sure what sort of tree it is actually (or was as it be now).
I have a Stihl FarmBoss 390 with a 20" bar, works well, but I'd not want to lug it up a tree!

he he, i bet you were looking to see if he had a spare ladder so you could take some pics of the birdies without looking too mad by setting up the ladder in the middle of an empty field :P
  • David de Groot said:
hahahaha no, he didn't use a ladder, just ropes. And what's so mad about setting up a ladder in the middle of a field eh? ;-)

If I didn't do the job I'm doing now, I reckon a tree-climbing arborist would be really cool.

:P Just you wait, I'll take a ladder down there and get Lea to take a photo of me on it.

Can't wait to see it :D

Could be a while - that'd mean Lea going out of the house! ;-)
