Torresian Crow

On my walk today I spotted this crow tearing apart a rotting log with it's beak, looking for grubs to eat. He was only a metre and half away and didn't seem the least bit phased by my pressence.

That they do/are Helen. I like crows too. Ours have an amazing range of vocal talents as well, beyond the usual Cauw Cauw they can twill, mimic and generally surprised one with their noises.
