Exposed timing chain from a burnt out car found while geocaching today. Obviously the heat of a car burning is somewhat higher than the engine temperatures as the alloy components have melted in places.

Cool find. The textures are great and the leaves make it especially interesting.

Not the burning car, we have just had a hot summer Dave
Thanks Melissa :)
Much appreciated Horst :) There's something about rusty things that just appeals. Even more so where nature is clearly starting to take back what's been left behind by humanity.
hehehe good one Kev ;-)
Very interesting...I have only seen them in working order! LOL

Thanks, yes it's a view one usually doesn't see. Slagged tappet covers are not an everyday event ;)
Did a double-take here - at first glance I thought the white stuff was ice, then I realised how impossible that would be ;-)
hehehehe Yep, even in the middle of winter it'd be pretty much impossible to have ice like that here :)
