It has a rather peculiar expression on it's face, sort of,like, "who ya lookin at, bud ?".
yes I agree about the peculiar look, I think it's saying, "aren't you trespassing?"

I put the look down to inquisitiveness myself, but it's so hard to judge what a concrete toad is thinking ;)
As for trespassing, I wasn't quite doing that yesterday, although there were a couple of times I thought about it. This shot was actually taken from inside my truck, out through the passenger side window (open obviously).

Found two little rocket-frogs in the water-tank strainer today. Carefully transplanted them to a bowl of water on the back veranda, as I'd prefer not to be drinking Eau d' Froggie.
hee hee, I dont mind the real thing, I like toads, well the sort we get anyway, great in the garden for eating slugs.

Well I only really have something against the introduced Cane Toad (bufo marinus) - poisonous little so-and-so.
I can;t say what that expression is , but it really does beg for another look

I've been trying to think about composition more of late. I still take a fair number of "snapshots", but when I have time to think about it stuff like this happens :)
