The Pony next door
We're chicken-sitting the neighbours chooks while they're away, and they also have this pony. He was quite inquisitive about me and my camera.

that means you get the eggs - right ? we used to have our own chickens, the eggs are soooo much better than you can buy. We decided not to keep them because there was no-one to look after them when we go away. They used to free range and wouldnt always go to bed, our neighbours were in their 80's- can you imagine them chasing chooks all over the place !! hee hee

That we do :) Although with only two chooks, it's not a large number of eggs (7 in total over the last week).
Still, they are nice eggs :)
they need a good talking too, we had 4 chuckies and got 4-5 eggs a day, too many, we used to give them away, I want more hens, they are so nice. I'd keep them though when they stopped laying, I couldnt eat them. our garden would become a rest home for old hens
