wow, I love this! That would've been green at easter!
still like this? would be a great location for a shoot
David de Groot said: Thanks, don't mind if I do. Oh yeah green as. And lovely and moist. We managed to do the walk to the falls and back before it started raining.
I love the Bunya Mtns, but it does have a habit of raining every time I'm there.

David, this is gorgeous, love the B&W processing
David de Groot said: Definitely worth it - bit of a drive from Brissie, but a lot closer from my place. Thanks Kat :) I liked it in colour, but not quite enough to post it, b&w did the trick.

Wicked B&W Dave. Much PP work in Lightroom?
David de Groot said: Nah not much at all - used a b&w preset that simulated IR (to an extent) and then added a vignette.

Great depth of field, David. I almost smell the damp air of the forest.:-))

This is beautiful David, as others have mentioned, I too think the black and white looks sensational. The shallowish dof certainly adds to the sense of depth in the image.
David de Groot said: Thanks :) I do like playing with DoF on these sorts of shots. Handily it made it easier to shoot too, as the lighting was quite dim under the rainforest canopy.

I would just love to go exploring down that path with the macro lens - think of the things I could find :D
Nice shot Dave.

I love it when you use a wide aperture just to let enough light in, and people think how great the shallow DoF looks. Quite a bonus sometimes.
David de Groot said: Oh yes, Bunya Mountains is macro-heaven ;-) Yeah, it's a handy by-product ;-)

WOW!! Love what you have done with this David..
It really brings out the ferns. Excellent path.
David de Groot said: Thanks Adam :) Pretty straight forward b&w conversion using one of the many b&w presets I have in Lightroom.

Greta b&w David. The plants are great and love how they appear whiter then the rest of the shot

Wonderful shot David.
Something sinister about a B&W forest shot. Very Blair Witch.
