6 shot panorama covering a full arc of the sky.
We had scattered cloud cover last night but every now and then the sky would open up for a while and in one of those times I managed to grab this.
Definitely not the first to have done this, nor will I be the last, but it's still pretty nifty.

[http://www.flickr.com/photos/somewhatbent] Not bad eh? Weather was spotty so was lucky to get it.
[http://www.flickr.com/photos/apurdam] Pre-processed the images then shoved 'em into AutoPano and let it do it's stuff, then post-processed that image a little more.

[http://www.flickr.com/photos/photoqueen001] Thanks! Gotta love a nice night sky. Better weather and further away from the city would have been a bit more impressive, but not bad really.

Magnifique !
Wow -- this is a neat idea, even if you weren't the first to do it. I just love photos of the milky way and you found a way to make it even more unique. I love the change in color, from the glowing clouds, to the purple sky, to the black night. Just absolutely beautiful!
Great composition
