Nice work once again David, Interesting how the city skyline changes every year with more buildings.

one year you're going to have to get underneath the bridge somehow!!

I love and hate you all at the same time! Last year I begged for a wallpaper for my desktop of your incredible shot of the melded dump and burn lines over the fireworks. This time I'll just beg for a desktop one of this year's being disgruntled that my shots look crap compared to this but ecstatic that this shot captures what we saw! Please send to decuniversity@gmail.com in size 1280 x 1024 and I'll reluctantly remove last year's amazing photo and replace it with this beauty. Pretty please. With sugar on top.

[http://www.flickr.com/photos/jrattray] None too shabby eh John ? Still miss the F-111's for the wow factor, but a good show anyway.
[http://www.flickr.com/photos/accesser] Indeed Jason. That damn tall building on the right is new and throws the balance off a bit, although I note there's another one growing on the left so by next year it might be more balanced.
[http://www.flickr.com/photos/albertyinyang] Definitely thinking a new location is needed at some stage! There were a couple of pyro's ON the bridge as it was all happening, now *that* would be an awesome location.
[http://www.flickr.com/photos/decuni] :) Hope you enjoyed the show though. One of the cool things about fireworks photography is once you're set up, you don't have to look through the camera, you can just enjoy the show and snap away at the same time.
[http://www.flickr.com/photos/chooksh] Sure did Tim, I prefer to go a bit more arty for fireworks these days.
[http://www.flickr.com/photos/missenchantedgypsy] Thanks Nik! Hope you had a blast from your posi on the other side of the bridge.
[http://www.flickr.com/photos/garry61] I hear you there Garry. It helps to have people hanging around with you to share the day, but it's still a bloody long day to be in the one spot.
    [http://www.flickr.com/photos/steves_life] Thanks Steve :)
[http://www.flickr.com/photos/dougterrill] Thanks Doug, did you get out and shoot it too ?

Excellent as usual, pity there was no F111 dump and burn.

[http://www.flickr.com/photos/21766727@N00] Yeah completely different without the F-111's. Happy Father's Day by the way :)

Amazing as always. Have you got some more? I didn't go this year
  • David de Groot said:
[http://www.flickr.com/photos/vitavoto] I do have a few more that I've not got around to processing yet.

    Nice simple image Dave!
  • David de Groot said:
[http://www.flickr.com/photos/chamellieon_photography] Bit more freedom as a spectator, that's for sure.
[http://www.flickr.com/photos/aramisfirefly] Thanks Matt, a lot less complex than last year's shot, that's for sure.
