The glorious Scottish Highlands

Snow capped mountains, lakes, heather, pine trees, it's all there.

You can't even tell it was only 3 degrees outside.

That would be baltic! When I was there last March, initially there was a heatwave, but the following week I had to invest in a doona jacket. Tried that on this last week...can't ever imagine it being cold enough to wear here!

[http://www.flickr.com/photos/42495072@N00] I got by with an Army Great Coat (Australian issue) and a nice warm vest I bought in Bakewell, Derbyshire, long sleeve shirt and a pair of RM Williams moleskin jeans.

Have you ever tried Merino thermals? They're amazing :D I'm quite in love with them!!! So perfectly nice and warm and not as daggy as the old style thermals.
