Great shot David. I've been waiting patiently for this one to make an appearance. The b&w really suits this shot.

quite "Thelwell ", obviously been eating his oats, either that or a particular fan of Canon cameras and wanted to be in on the action !

But I definitely see the resemblance now :)

Agree the black n white works well, that pony was crazy, great shot.

[http://www.flickr.com/photos/samuelsharpe] Did you see it when we drove off in the paddock - it was at full tilt then - which I'd managed to get shots of it belting along.

[http://www.flickr.com/photos/dadegroot] Yeah I did, it just took off like a bullet. Did any of them turn out OK?
David de Groot said:
[http://www.flickr.com/photos/samuelsharpe] Well this is one of the panned shots before we drove off. Didn't get any of the final bolt in the paddock as I was driving.

nothing to be ashamed of, I remember reading/owning several of his horse cartoon books at the time my best friend had her own horse and I used to borrow one and we would do daft things , like jumping gates on the heath, nastiest incident I ever had was whilst riding a shetland cross ! I didnt fall off, it wouldnt have been far to fall but the darn thing jumped a ditch sideways, if we'd have parted company it wouldnt have been too bad, but we didnt !!

Such a cutie :-) I love ponies! There is a farm not far away from where I live, where they have ponies. I get a chance to pet them every time I pass the place on one of my walks. The female pony is called "Misha" and the younger one is a boy called "Srečko" (it means "Lucky").

I recognised the cartoons once I saw them, but didn't recognise the name straight up.
Sounds like quite the pony adventure you had too.
[http://www.flickr.com/photos/cobra_11] Ponies (and horses for that matter) are wonderful to watch, esp. in gallop. You're lucky to have them close by (we have horses down the road from us too).
[http://www.flickr.com/photos/william_kastelein] [http://www.flickr.com/photos/hsintailiu] Thanks!
[http://www.flickr.com/photos/steves_life] hehehe, could almost be, but no, it was just a real miniature horse.
LOL- hee hee, I just reconsidered and didnt think it that interesting, Thelwell was popular quite awhile ago, so I'm showing my age a bit I think ...
do you still have a wild Brumby herds ?
