The day after rain

Cedar Creek,

Queensland,

Australia.

This is the same spot as my Whirlpool photograph but this time the day after we had roughly four inches of rain. The creek has gone down a little from yesterday, but is still rushing by at a faster and higher level than when I shot "Whirlpool".

    Oddly enough, I'm not overly impressed with it. I like the rocks, they're three dimensional due to the way the light reflected off the water, etc.. but the overall photo doesn't do a great deal for me. Still, it fits in with the series I'm putting together.

    As for your comment about not being impressed with it, I've read (and agree) that when building a series, not every piece is going to be or even should be equally strong. It's like a written piece, you need connecting bits as you move throughout the story. Perhaps this shot works for you that way.
