The Cellarium

at Fountains Abbey, Ripon, North Yorkshire.

This is part of the massive Fountains Abbey complex whose size and granduer cannot fail to amaze in person.

The cellarium is where food and wine was stored, and is still in remarkably good condition (probably the best preserved aspect of the entire abbey).

Hope you are having a great trip, its lovely here but we had a job to capture the colours of the stone accurately- back in the days of film cameras ! Drop in again on you sometime, take care.. and our weather should be a bit more like normal by next week, well thats the theory anyway !

[http://www.flickr.com/photos/33085391@N00] We did indeed have a great trip (been home for a week now). The weather while we were there was just fine, sun, snow, only rained on us properly twice. :)
