The aftermath of rain

Well drizzle actually, but definitely the first precipitation we've had in many weeks.

I woke to the sound of light rain and the sight of cloud amongst the trees. :)

    I had to take something wet Melissa - it's been quite a while after all :) The other shot I took was mist through the trees, but then I saw this spider web and figured it'd make the better shot.
    I've just been informed our rain gauge had a whole 2mm in it. Better than a poke in the eye with a burnt stick, but only just.

    It's like that. I read something recently about a little girl our west who was quite afraid that the sky was broken when it finally rained - she was seven and had never seen rain in her lifetime.

    Well provided we caught it all, that's roughly 680L in our watertanks. :) Mt Glorious (just down the road) apparently got 6mm, Draper (about 12kms in the other direction) got 1mm. I figure we got over 2 but our rain gauge doesn't always catch it all.

    hahahaha! Mine didn't try that - they know better I guess.
