Sunset at Rocky Creek Dam

near Koumala, Queensland.

Only went out birding once while on holidays (all rather rushed really). The birding wasn't a success due to getting there too late, but we did manage a sunset.

    I stopped on the way home from work last night and bought a Kindle. I originally stopped thinking I might finally by that DSLR camera I've been wanting for ages. I also stopped at the drug store to pick up a prescription. I stepped out of the drugstore to come home, looked up at the early evening sky and seriously questioned why I DIDN'T buy the camera. There was a sliver of moon, the western horizon was still pale and the sky was such an INTENSE deep blue. It would have made a great photograph (if there weren't so many power lines and such in the way)...
