Submerged

Part of the old docks that ran along the riverside next to the botanic gardens right through to the Story Bridge and beyond. These have long since been dismantled but parts still remain to be seen at low tide.

This particular bit is near the Stanford Grand hotel.

Nice and abstract. Are the waters murky or is that the sand coming through?

To Picsbymac, they are sections of the Yarra that have come up to retire in the warmer climate.

Dave they look scarey mate. I shudder at the thought of ripped hulls.

The Brisbane river this close to the mouth (about 20kms or so from the bay I think) is wide, slow and full of silt, thus the brown colour. Sometimes, when we haven't had a lot of rain upstream in a while, it'll go a greeny colour instead.

Luckily Kev you can't get a boat in here. It's in a little culvert where a storm water drain empties into the river behind a walk bridge.
