Strike a Pose

Modern Dance at the Brisbane Strobist Meet #6, The Powerhouse Store, Newfarm.

The 70-200 was a little too tight for this location, but it's such a great lens, and the next widest I have is the 50/1.8 which wouldn't have been a huge improvement, or the 10-20 which was way too wide.

Strobist: Nikon SB-600 into Brolly box camera right. There may have been more lights involved, 'twas hard to keep track of the optically fired slaves.

I really like this one!! Of all the ones you've uploaded from the recent meet up, this is my favourite.
    Brilliant work Dave.

Thanks Michelle - it was the kind of image that really screamed out to be black and white.

Dave Dave Dave...err nice image Dave. So you couldn't find the female form frollicing around in her underwear?
    Definitely a b&w :-)

Well actually I did, but you know, you need to bring something home for the Mrs ;-)

I really like this one - it gave me ideas for my own processing - hope you don't mind. I'm a little concerned I didn't get pictures quite as defined for Liz (was that her name - I'm terrible for remembering) out of this group so I'm really looking forward to seeing your results.
That 70-200 is bloody sharp BTW

    No probs :)
I'm also absolutely awful with names... I know Francis was in our first group, but I can't recall the name of the lass. In this group, I've no idea who was who, although Liz sounds familiar.
You're right, it might have been too long for indoors, but was still the best lens for most of the shots I got. Many thanks to Simon also for the lend of his 24-70/2.8L which is right up there with the 70-200 :)
