
After much waiting, sitting in the grass, this little Striated Pardalote flitted onto the fence I was next to.
It was quite close (according to the exif data, between 3.64 and 3.87m), so I've only cropped very very slightly for compositional reasons.
As it turned out, I was sitting under the tree the Rainbow Bee-eaters frequent and because I'd been there so long they came back to the tree. I got a few shots from directly below (nothing fantastic from that angle though - unless you like to stare at the butts of birds - if you do, I don't want to know).
