I've not heard why the lights on the bridge have been changed to green, but it makes a change from the usual orange anyway.
This shot taken at tonight's workshop. A 3 min exposure towards the end of Blue Hour.
Can't even tell the river is still a muddy brown at this time of night :)

Great shot, the colors are wonderful!!
Love it
cool cityscape! well done!
beautiful color and reflect
They have been cellophaning them over occasionally to change the colour. About 6 months or so ago they were red - I think they were blue not long after that. Breaks up the monotony :)
Really beautiful!!! :-)
wow wow spettacolare...
beautiful shot David - your photos never fail to dissapoint

[http://www.flickr.com/photos/inexistentia] It'd be better if they did the walkway ones too - they're the orange lights that still reflect much brighter on the river than the coloured ones do. But you're right, it does indeed break up the monotony.
I knew it was pink for Breast Cancer Awareness week, and Blue for Depression Awareness week, thus the query about why green...

This angle is done to death but you execute it so flawlessly, it always impresses me.
Ah, I miss that view! Lovely shot of the old girl.
was purple a while ago. beautiful shot david.
green for eco week, recycling week, or perhaps just because , I agree, the orange need changing too !

[http://www.flickr.com/photos/voorschotenllmm] Thanks. It's somewhat done to death and as such I rarely bother to shoot this scene any more, but the bridge lights were a different colour, and I was there.
[http://www.flickr.com/photos/renanluna] Thanks again!
[http://www.flickr.com/photos/beniciomurray] Yes it definitely is done to death. Still, it makes for a pretty picture when the conditions are right.
[http://www.flickr.com/photos/the_smileyfish] It's definitely "the" stand out scene of Brisbane. Mind you, I see you're in Tassie, there must be some pretty impressive stuff to shoot down there.
[http://www.flickr.com/photos/daztography] I've seen it blue and pink before too.
[http://www.flickr.com/photos/33085391@N00] I guess they don't change the lower orange lights because they're illuminating the road, but they're darned bright.
[http://www.flickr.com/photos/traceybav] Still haven't seen it Tracey! :P
[http://www.flickr.com/photos/anitabromley] Really ? Seems somewhat extravagant to gel all the lights on the bridge for a play.
Good one!!
having seen the play, it's well worth putting green lights up. If you haven't already it's a must do.
ps, great shot.
