Story Bridge and City

on a rainy night.

I took this under an umbrella, two exposures at 37mm.

Not the best spot, or shot, but considering it was raining and I had great difficulty setting up the tripod single handed while carefully not getting my camera wet, I think it turned out ok.

I think its a beautiful shot of the city. Great work even in these tough rainy conditions :)

Thanks :) I wasn't up to walking long distances in the rain, trying not to get the gear wet, just for a slightly better angle. Given the clouds, rain and time of day, it was never going to be a spectacular shot anyway.

The rain the the water has given the Brisbane River a different sheen than usual on night shots. Even with all of the mooring posts in the shot, they seem to add to the image. I saw some great potential reflecting street shots in the rain last night but didn't have my camera or tripod on me.

    Thanks :)

I noticed that too (the sheen that is). I also considered reflected light on the streets, and even searching out a large puddle and camping out waiting for that "decisive moment" but I had work to do at 7pm and couldn't hang around in the rain too long.
