That be some serious cumulonimbus. There was some high-reaching cumulonimbus here this afternoon too, but the threat of storms passed.

Seen in my contacts' photos. (?)
David de Groot said: The tree is on the top of a small rise, there's a shallow valley beyond, then taller hills beyond that (but you can't see them here), the cloud was beyond those hills, but quite low at the base. I didn't go out, but probably should have, although we only had small skidding storms through here (3 in total for the evening). Not a lot in them.

Oh nice shot there Dave! I'm liking that tree actually.
David de Groot said: I was driving home, one eye on the cloud, one on the road and happened to spot the tree (seen it many times before, but never had a reason to shoot it). Pulled over and squelched in the mud but came away with this :)

Got my attention this one, maybe for the clouds but the composition is uncluttered and nicely framed. You certainly have the photographers eye David.

That's a ripper. Well shot, the stark tree provides a good contrast.
David de Groot said: Thanks :) Thanks David :) Couldn't help stopping for that one Jack :)

Bloody amazing cloud - I stayed over at a friend last night at Prenzlaue (spelling) and the dark clouds were racing toward Brisbane - Thank god they never made it.

I think Brissie got some rain last night, as when I went to go home from a mate's place last night^H^H^H this morning, the car was wet.
